most important and best known Sanctuary in
Abruzzo is San Gabriele (St Gabriel’s), in the
territory of Isola del Gran Sasso d’Italia,
place of pilgrimage for 3 million pilgrims every
year.

particularly venerated in Abruzzo) are located
among the rocks of the Morrone mountain.
